This is me.

This is me.

I was born in Arizona in 1982, where there is a sufficient amount of cactus. I went to school in NYC for four years, worked there for a fifth, and the only thing I have to show for it all is a bent Metro pass and this useless Duane Reade club card. I moved to Hawaii with my then-fiance Darrel in 2007 when he transferred. We were married on March 24, 2009 in Honolulu by a judge at the courthouse who made a big deal about pocketing the cash for a “standard fee” after the signing.

Some of the things I like include Japanese cooking, graphic design, illustration, typography, and a well-tempered sentence. I appreciate good grammar, but I like to break the rules just as much. My specialties include editing, sketching, and writing. I’m not sure if any of those talents will be flexed in this journal to any degree.

I apologize for any pidgin English, internet patois, or other language faux pas that may arise. (This small disclaimer is also here to encourage me to publish stuff rather than nit-pick endlessly.)
